Figures released by AENA the Spanish Airport Authority, show that for the first 6 months of 2011, there was a 25% increase in the number of tourists visiting Tenerife, compared to the same period in 2010. The boost in numbers was partly due to travelers re-booking holidays away from previous popular resorts in Tunisa and Egypt, due to civil unrest.
There is no doubt that the popularity of Tenerife will continue, as the worldwide recession appears to be easing slightly, which all bodes well for people who own businesses in Tenerife and indeed for those who wish to invest on this wonderful Island.
